See & Do
When you stay at Tina’s House, you can adventure out to some of the most beautiful parts the Northeast has to offer
Outdoor Activities
The town of Copake offers miles of hiking and biking trails throughout Taconic State Park or Bash Bish Falls where you can go for a leisurely stroll through the woods or venture to beautiful vistas and waterfalls. Surrounded by farms, you can spend the day apple picking, blueberry picking, or pumpkin picking depending on the season. Just outside of Copake, you’re able to get in a round of golf at one of the many golf courses in the area.
Fishing and Water Activities
Copake Lake covers 410 acres, has over five miles of shoreline, and is home to over 22 species of fish. In the wintertime, the lake freezes over so the more avid fishermen can try their hand at ice fishing. Trout fishing is available in the many streams near Copake, but you can find the best spots at the Housatonic River or Bash Bish Creek.>
Local Restaurants and Breweries
For groups that need a night on the town, Copake is home to numerous restaurants, breweries, and distilleries. Take a stroll through town and enjoy the nightlife.
Adventure Activities
Just a few miles outside of Copake, you can find some of the best ski resorts in the Northeast, where you can ski or winter tube. For warmer activities, families are able to enjoy a day or two at Catamount Adventure Park or exploring Bash Bish Falls State Park – home to one of Massachusetts’ highest free-fall waterfalls.
Historic Sightseeing
Columbia County is home to the Martin Van Buren National Historic Site, where you are able to tour the former president’s home and imagine what life was like in Upstate New York just years before the Civil War.
